This 12” lug body butterfly valve is manually operated with a hand wheel gearbox. Instead of directly mounting the gear operator, a 3 foot stem extension is installed to allow access to the hand wheel when the valve is installed in a pit, near the ceiling, or in a location that is not very accessible. Stem extensions are made to custom lengths depending on your application and can be used effectively in manual or fully automated assemblies.
