In the 1970s, our founder, Mario Tartarelli, began his career in electro-mechanical engineering, developing advanced flow control solutions for manufacturing. Through firsthand experience, he recognized that automation was the future—and built his vision around delivering excellence through innovation, responsive support, and a strong focus on customer needs.

That vision became reality in 1996 with the founding of Emme Technology in northern Italy, where early advancements in pneumatic actuation quickly set new standards in performance and reliability. As the company grew, that same entrepreneurial spirit expanded across the Atlantic, where a like-minded partner established Max-Air Technology in the United States—bringing together two family organizations under a shared commitment to quality, responsiveness, customer-focused service, and long-term thinking.
